Founders and National Mandate
1. Founder’s Intent & National Mandate for Ghana and much of Africa do not suffer from a shortage of vision, resources, or talent. What we suffer from is a leadership and institutional deficit — weak governance, poor accountability, fragile systems, and leadership that depends too heavily on personalities rather than on strong, enduring institutions. Over decades of service across the Church, public service, professional bodies, and development institutions, it has become clear that no nation can rise above the quality of its leaders and the strength of its institutions. The Center for Leadership and Institutional Development (CLID) was founded to close this gap. CLID exists to develop values-driven leaders and to build strong, accountable, and high-performing institutions that serve people, steward resources responsibly, and contribute to sustainable national development. This is not a project. It is a legacy institution.
